Description

Your idea

Please add the extremely useful STEP function to MuseScore.

A feature successfully available in other music software, the STEP function is revolutionizing the way music is intuitively learned and swiftly played, especially for children, elders and disabled. New high-tech musical instruments take advantage of this practical function.

The idea (originally by SONY) is based on the logical and standard way musical instruments perform, that is: Starting from a note (or the clef at first) on the score, via the > key (the right-pointing arrow key): 1- Manually play the following note and keep it playing during > keypress. 2- Release key to stop playing. 3- Again, manually play with > for the following note… iterate (keep going note by note). Imagine playing organ keys one after the other, no matter what the timing of the note is (round, quarter, etc.) The rhythm is totally imposed by the player at will. Rests are also freely chosen this way.
