Description

Your idea

For me, adding a note (choosing pitch) and adjusting length of added note is the most intuitive way of inputting notes.
In MuseScore 3, it was easy with combination of Q, W, Shift + Q, and Shift + W .

Version 4 introduces the new behaviour. In Note Input mode now it changes the length of note to be added.
This is weird. Because the shortcut is named "Double / Halve Selected Note".

If these kind of shortcuts are needed, they should be separate ones, and Alt+Q and Alt+W could be used.

Problem to be solved
  • Inconsistency between Note Input mode and normal mode
  • Regressed efficiency of adjusting note length as it requires twice more strokes.
