Your idea
Using the standard sign for left hand pizz (+), we will be able to properly rewrite scores such as those of Paganini and other virtuosos.
Problem to be solved
Often the LH pizz is used in combination with bowing, which makes for messy, crowded scores. We currently have to set each note individually to be pizz or arco with text, and since there is no LH pizz symbol in MS, we have to use the Muted symbol (which is identical), and the pizz text.

Research direction
