The Windows installer should refuse to install on Windows below 10, with an error message indicating that Windows 10 is or later is required. This is true for the msi and the MuseHub installer too!
Came up many times in the forum, where only the 1st start of MuseScore 4 failed. Wasted time, wasted diskspace, disgruntled users...
