Description
Using older MuseScore files (MS version 2 or 3) and replacing Muse basic sounds (solo strings) with new Muse sounds, produces distorted, twisted sound. New solo strings from older scores actually don't sound natural, there is still "miau echo'', persisting distorted sound - as a kind of background sound layer -, making audio surreal.
In contrast, orchestral strings now sound fine, no distortions, no echos.
Platform information: OS Windows 10.

Research direction
No source file, test, or entry point is identified. Reproduce on Windows 10 using an older MuseScore 2 or 3 file, replace the solo-string sounds with the new Muse sounds, and compare the result with orchestral strings; done means identifying and fixing the persistent distortion and echo without regressing the working orchestral sounds.
