Description

  1. Place a node breaker with a blinky plant (or other clock) next to it and a chest directly up against its output, with no tube in between. Example: https://cheapiesystems.com/media/images/screenshot_20260705_142653.png
  2. Fill the chest and node breaker inventories with something, doesn't matter what, they just need to be full.
  3. Put some nodes in front of the node breaker and let it dig them.

Expected behavior
The nodes being dug fall out as items, disappear, or otherwise fail to be transported.

Actual behavior
Items bounce back and forth endlessly inside the two nodes, with no apparent cap on number of items. I have had to track down and shut down machines that players have built doing this with hundreds of items bouncing around and causing significant lag.

Research direction

Reproduce the setup with a node breaker, blinky plant or other clock, and a chest directly against its output, then fill both inventories and observe the dug nodes. Trace the node breaker and tube transport behavior involved in the bounce; done means items no longer circulate indefinitely and the reported setup does not accumulate unbounded items or cause lag.
