Research direction

No files or tests are identified. Start by locating the channel settings entry point and the existing path for sending messages to a channel, then determine where RSS/Atom feed updates could be polled or received. Done means users can configure a feed address and new feed items are automatically posted in the selected channel.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.
