Description

First thanks for this brilliant library.

Could you add a section to the README that lists which image formats are supported? This includes both static and animated formats (e.g. GIF, WebP, AVIF). I mean something like the one that expo-image has on its page.

It's currently unclear what gets supported. Thanks!

Research direction

Start with the README and verify which static and animated image formats the library supports, including GIF, WebP, and AVIF. Add a clearly labeled section covering the supported formats; it is done when readers can determine format support without inspecting the implementation.
