Description

I have some Blu-rays which group multiple episodes into one playlist. While I can set --start and --end to play just one episode and quit, if I seek too far, it is possible to exceed those bounds.

Also, having the OSD bar reflect just the specified start-to-end and not the whole playlist would be nice.

Research direction

Start by tracing how --start and --end are applied during playback and seeking, then inspect how the OSD bar derives its playlist range. Confirm that seeking cannot pass either bound and that the OSD reflects only the selected interval; the issue names no files or tests, so repository-wide investigation is required.
