Research direction
No source files or tests are named. Reproduce the Flatpak launch on Ubuntu 22.04.3 under GNOME Mutter Wayland, first with default audio output and then with --ao=pulse, while collecting the missing verbose log. Done means the default launch no longer hangs when PipeWire is unavailable and falls back to PulseAudio.
