Description
Following Information:
- mpv 0.36.0_315-g7a76cf4d65
- Arch Linux
- AUR (mpv-git package)
- KDE Kwin 5.27.8
- nVidia Optimus (Intel HD 4600 + nVidia GeForce GT 740M with proprietary driver 470.199.2)
The picture is darker than it should be. The problem is confirmed when playing AVC video. This problem does not occur with MPEG2 (DVD).
The source is DVD Video. H264 transcoded from this DVD using x264.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the darker H264 playback with vo=gpu-next using the linked sample, then compare it with vo=gpu and MPEG2 playback. Review gpu-next.log and gpu.log alongside the BT.601 source details; done means H264 colors match the expected picture without breaking the MPEG2 case.
