Description
https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/labels/meta%3Afeature-request
Most times when playing playlists, and some item is unavailable, people want the player to skip it, and going to next item.
Expected behavior of the wanted feature
I oppositely want the player to stop if the file in playlist is missing. But there is no (?) currently such option.
Alternative behavior of the wanted feature
Some option, like --playlist-stop-on-error. Also want it to not just quit, but keep opened (there is already --keep-open).

Research direction
Start by locating mpv's playlist item error handling and the existing --keep-open option. Verify the behavior with a playlist containing a missing file: the new option should stop instead of advancing, while keeping the player open.
