Description
Expected behavior of the wanted feature
An API (like the screenshot input command) that extracts audio given a start and end time and saves it to a file. I want to use this API to extract the audio of a streamed video (no local video on disk).

Research direction
Start by reviewing the existing screenshot input command and the playback paths for streamed video. Determine where an API could accept start and end times and write extracted audio without a local video file. Done means the feature works for streamed input and saves the requested audio range to a file.
