Description

Right now the two-platform code is in pretty bad shape, and we should rip it out. While adding try presets I realized it may not work with them at all. (So if we turned on two-platform code, we would just submit the same thing twice.)

Research direction

Start by locating the two-platform code and the try presets handling in the repository, then trace how a two-platform update is submitted. Confirm whether try presets produce duplicate submissions and identify the full scope of removing the two-platform behavior. Done means the obsolete behavior is removed and try presets no longer submit the same update twice.
