Description

PDF.js is published on npm as pdfjs-dist.

Would it be possible to depend on it instead of using a local, out-of-date copy?

Research direction

No files or tests are named. Start by locating the dependency manifest and the locally stored PDF.js copy, then check how the converter and command-line entry point load it. Done means pdfjs-dist supplies the dependency and PDF-to-JSON and text conversion still work without the old copy.
