Description
Observation
I've been mapping MCP servers in the "AI → game" pipeline space, and there's a distinct category forming that doesn't fit neatly into existing labels:
| Server | What it does | Stars |
|---|---|---|
| renpy-mcp | AI-driven visual novel creation (74 tools) | growing |
| comfyui-ai-gamedev | Image/video gen for game assets | growing |
| spawnforge-mcp | 3D game engine with 350 MCP commands | — |
| bevy_mcp | Bevy game engine integration | — |
| blender-mcp | 3D asset pipeline | 23K |
These all share a pattern: MCP as the bridge between AI agents and game creation tools (engines, asset pipelines, world builders).
Why a separate category matters
- "Creative Tools" is too broad — it bundles game engines with image editors and music generators, which have very different MCP interaction patterns.
- Discovery — game developers searching for MCP tools currently have to scan multiple categories. A dedicated section would help.
- Trend signal — "prompt → playable game" is an emerging AI application category (see platforms like neta.art https://neta.art/explore?utm_source=github&utm_medium=issue), and the MCP ecosystem is a key enabler for it.
Proposal
Add a ### Game Development subsection under Community Servers, with the servers above plus space for the ecosystem to grow.
Note
I'm not affiliated with any of these projects. Just mapping the space and noticed this gap in the categorization.

Research direction
Start at the repository's Community Servers section and review how existing categories and server entries are organized. Add a Game Development subsection with the proposed servers if the category is accepted; done means the new section is consistent with the catalog and easy to discover.
