AssertionError: Unexpected message while using middlewares

Describe the bug
when I mount the mcp to starlette, and I use middleware to do some prechecks, I met this errors.

1. mount mcp to starlette
2. use middlewares
3. call tools

Start with the Starlette application mounting mcp_server.sse_app(), the CustomHeaderMiddleware example, and the middleware call path shown in the traceback. Reproduce the failure by calling a tool through the mounted SSE app, then trace the response messages until the unexpected message is understood. Done means the middleware-wrapped app completes the request without the AssertionError.
