Research direction
Start by reproducing the Weechat rendering difference with Mosh in the listed Ubuntu WSL, Windows Terminal, and server environments, comparing it with SSH and Eternal Terminal. Trace the Mosh terminal-rendering path and determine why vertical lines become X's; done means the same vertical line renders correctly over Mosh.
