Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 21.04
Release: 21.04
Codename: hirsute
Shotcut version 21.03.21
I was editing while proxies were being made. I did cut out a short part of a clip on the timeline once its proxy became available. After that, a lot longer part of that clip was removed. Undoing was impossible, too.
Making proxies during editing seems to cause other problems as well. One of them is that the playback stops once a proxy becomes available. Another on is that previously made transitions go lost.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the timeline cut, playback stop, and lost-transition cases while proxy generation is active, using the linked videos as the expected scenarios. Trace the editing state as a proxy becomes available and verify that cuts, playback, and existing transitions remain intact and that undo still works.
