Description

Here is a proposal by Peter to change the submission directory structure.

The first objective is to have inference and training submission directories as similar as possible.

The second is that it enables deterministic mapping between source code directories and log directories.

Take a look. I would like to discuss whether you agree or not, and mainly whether you think it is possible to make this change for 1.1.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked Google Docs proposal and the repository's current submission and log directory conventions. Determine whether the proposed inference and training layouts can be adopted for version 1.1; done requires an agreed structure and a clear feasibility decision.
