Description

As much as we love Nix, not everyone does, we want to provide an alternative, e.g. producing binaries for popular languages with the CD pipeline (could be a problem on Hercules CI though as we only have a x86_64-linux machine there)

Research direction

Start by reviewing the existing CD pipeline and Hercules CI setup, focusing on how the project currently depends on Nix and the available x86_64-linux machine. Define a viable Nix-free path that produces binaries for popular languages while accounting for Hercules CI's platform limitation.
