Description

Some functions from cardano-api generate bytes that are not compatible with base64:

  • serialiseToRawBytes
  • serialiseToCBOR

The problem arises when one tries to deserialize them back.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the round trip described in the issue using outputs from cardano-api's serialiseToRawBytes and serialiseToCBOR functions. Inspect how those byte values are passed through base64 encoding and deserialization. Done means the serialized bytes can be encoded and then deserialized successfully.
