Description

Description

We have decided to prioritize a TimeField over the TimePicker. We expect a faster implementation of the TimeField. While the TimePicker offers more advantages for mobile usage, we assume that our components will primarily be used in a desktop context. The Picker can later be well combined with the TimeField.

Therefore, the TimePicker has been postponed indefinitely in the roadmap.

Design

The final design still needs to be developed. However, for the TimePicker, we envision a popover that includes a clock, allowing the time to be quickly and conveniently set using the thumb. Alternatively, a digital display could be considered.

Research direction

No implementation files or tests are named. Start by reviewing the linked TimeField issue and the current roadmap, then confirm whether a TimePicker is still wanted. If work resumes, define the final interaction and design first; completion criteria are not specified in this issue.
