Description
What happened?
A declarative agent running in M365 Copilot directly switches back to model "Auto", even though a reasoning model was explicitly selected:
This is not an issue for the vanilla M365 Copilot agent, I have only been able to reproduce it for custom declarative agents.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the behavior in M365 Copilot with a custom declarative agent, comparing it with the vanilla M365 Copilot agent where the issue does not occur. The issue is done when an explicitly selected reasoning model remains selected instead of switching back to Auto.
