Start by reviewing the diagnostic logs under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\DiagOutputDir and the Microsoft.VC++2017Redist-x86 package metadata. Reproduce winget upgrade GlassWire.GlassWire and investigate installer exit code 1638. Done means the dependency installs successfully during the GlassWire upgrade.
