Description

Brief description of your issue

Currently installed Chrome Dev on my laptop is v123.0.6272.2,
but the WinGet rule is "> 121.0.6115.2" even when the "available" version is lower than the installed version

C:\Windows\System32>winget upgrade
Name Id Version Available Source

Google Chrome Dev Google.Chrome.Dev > 121.0.6115.2 122.0.6226.2 winget1

Steps to reproduce

Install Google Chrome Dev browser on Windows 11 PC and then run "Winget Upgrade" command

Expected behavior

I expected to see a recommendation to install a newer upgrade, not something months in the past.

Actual behavior

Nothing. Newer version already installed.

Environment
Windows 11 Pro, executing "Winget Upgrade" from Windows Admin command line

Research direction

Reproduce the report on Windows 11 with Google.Chrome.Dev by running winget upgrade, and compare the installed and available versions shown for the package. Done means determining why the database reports an older available version and correcting the package data so the command recommends only a genuinely newer upgrade.
