  • I have searched for my issue and not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
  • I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.

Installation issue.

Brief description of your issue

Winget does not recognize package after successful install:

PS C:\Windows\system32> winget list --id Microsoft.SQLServer.2022.Express
No installed package found matching input criteria.

Steps to reproduce

Install the package running as admin

Actual behavior

Application installs successfully but then running winget list it does not see the package.

Expected behavior

Winget should recognize the package is installed.
