Description

Please confirm these before moving forward
  • I have searched for my issue and not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
  • I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.
Category of the issue

Side-By-Side installation.

Brief description of your issue

The uninstallation of Google.AndroidStudio (version 2022.2.1.20) seems to be side-by-side.

Steps to reproduce
> winget uninstall Google.AndroidStudio
Actual behavior

The window of uninstaller pops up, and I must click to continue. Winget exits with return value 0 before this window shows up, seeming to think that the uninstallation has been over.

Expected behavior

Then uninstallation is silent without letting user click anything; or at least winget does not exit before the uninstallation really ends.

Research direction

Start by reproducing winget uninstall Google.AndroidStudio on the reported Windows environment and inspect the package configuration and uninstall flow for this package. Done means winget remains active until the uninstaller finishes, or the uninstall runs silently without requiring interaction.
