Description
Please confirm these before moving forward
- I have searched for my issue and not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
- I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.
Category of the issue
Installation issue.
Brief description of your issue
IrfanView tries to update 32bit installation with 64bit installer and therefore updates (or installs? - see note) the wrong program - See screenshot (There are separate installers for each version, because they provide a different feature set / plugin support)
Note: I already had both versions (32/64 bit) installed at the same time before
Steps to reproduce
Update "IrfanSkiljan.IrfanView" (32bit) from version 4.60 to 4.62 on a 64bit system.
Actual behavior
Wrong version of IrfanView gets installed or updated, and update "requirement" for the 32bit version remains in winget.
Expected behavior
Separate update for each version (Independent of 32/64bit system)

Research direction
No file or test is named. Start by reproducing the update of IrfanSkiljan.IrfanView from 4.60 to 4.62 on a 64-bit system, then inspect the corresponding package manifest entries and their architecture-related metadata. Done means the 32-bit and 64-bit installations update independently and the 32-bit update requirement is cleared.
