In Python atexit registered functions timeout.

Type: Bug

This is apparently already know.
Why have you not fixed it?
I have "view" statements in my code that collect various meshes in a 3d
cad program. I need to actually view these with a program exits.
Because you timeout atexit routines, this doesn't work.
Who decide this was a good idea? atexit comes from Unix... thoughout
its history, there were no timeout limitations. Why did you put this in?
