Autopilot doesn't work well with folding steps before final response

I see this kind of pattern pretty often- the agent gave the real detailed final response, but apparently it didn't end the turn correctly in autopilot mode, then replies with the "Task completed" and a response that is much less detailed. I think the problem here is autopilot mode, not folding the tool calls. I think that part worked correctly. I just don't really understand the purpose of autopilot mode and this "task completed" extra step. I only end up using it after I'm forced into it by plan mode.
