Pinning mechanism for symbol detail hover panel

Type: Feature Request

Currently, when you place a cursor over a "symbol" in your code, it shows a detail hover panel that carries information about that symbol. You can move your cursor into that hover panel, and when your cursor moves outside it, it disappears.

This poses a very discomforting user experience challenge when you try to copy part of the content in that hover panel (e.g. the type definition of a function) because when you hold down your cursor and start dragging to highlight the part you want to copy, your cursor often moves outside the hover panel (as dragging in straight line is difficult to do) and it keeps disappearing as a result.

I'm proposing a pinning mechanism that keeps the panel in focus and locked in, even when your cursor goes outside it. Maybe something like holding down CTRL and hovering over a symbol keeps the hover panel pinned and you can move in with your cursor to highlight and copy stuff. Or a pin icon toggle in the hover panel that disables the "disappear-on-cursor-escape" behaviour until you click outside the hover panel.
