Preview of a Markdown file shows a cached copy, not the current version:

Open preview for a markdown note in the local repo / project.
Open the file itself for editing
Modify it. Save it.
Close edit and preview tabs
Right-click the file and select Open preview ...
Check the preview tab - the displayed markdown will be out of date - showing the pre-change version
