BYOK support for embedding-based AI features

According to the documentation (https://code.visualstudio.com/blogs/2026/06/18/byok-vscode):

> Some AI features, such as semantic search, inline suggestions, and features that rely on embeddings, still require a GitHub account or Copilot support.

Are there any plans to make these embedding-based features available for BYOK in VS Code?
Since users have many ways to connect to embedding systems, such as [running embedding models locally via Ollama](https://ollama.com/search?c=embedding), it would be great to know if support for these setups is on the roadmap.
