VS Code not responsive with an ongoing Copilot session

### Description

My VS Code with Copilot seems is stuck and I do not want to lose my session. What is the suggested solution?

It was a hidden sign in prompt and VS Code continued on signing in to GitHub but it's still a bug because either
1. The sign in prompt took a very long time to show up.
2. The sign in prompt did not surface to the top on clicking the window.
