Session irreversibly lost after changes to workspace folder and saving workspace

### Description

Started a chat session, after a ton of work with it realized that session is started on the wrong folder and this affects agent's reasoning.
Added correct folder to workspace
Removed incorrect folder to workspace
Session is still there
Session is still there for days, through reboots and several VS Code updates
Wanted to close vs code window with this session temporarily
Saved workspace to a file, session is still there.
Closed VS Code
Opened same workspace file again: session disappeared from the list
Agent in a new chat session in the workspace says it cannot find old session information anywhere.
This is a massive waste.
