Shift down when opening changes view

A tick after I expand the sidebar, everything shifts down by just a couple pixels. I think this comes from the "6 files" text showing up async (also not sure why it's async since we apparently already have all the changes data) and it seems to be a different height than the rest of it. But it causes this slight flicker/shift down.

I also have all the modern UI settings, if those are involved here.
