Type: Feature Request

#316867 added support for a minimum release age for extension updates, which is good but the UI still shows the pending updates as badges on the left and in the extensions tab, and that has no indication of when an update was released unless you click through to the update page.

Updates which have been deferred should either be hidden or badged with some indication that they will be installed automatically later. This is especially true for extensions which update frequently — if I see a badge “Update” I don't know whether clicking that button means that I'll install the legitimate update from yesterday I saw in someone's release notes or the compromised update some attacker shipped 30 seconds ago.
