"explorer.sortOrder": "filesFirst" doesn't apply in "Source control" view with "View as Tree"

I enabled "explorer.sortOrder": "filesFirst" in ~/.config/Code/User/settings.json. It works in "Explorer", but not for changes in "Source control" panel when sorted as a tree (which still shows directories before files). I would expect behaviour to be consistent for both, or at least to have an option to control sortOrder in the "Source control" panel.
