Description

  • Copilot Chat Extension Version: 0.48.1
  • VS Code Version: 1.124.2 (Universal)
  • OS Version: Tahoe 26.5.1 (25F80)
  • Feature (e.g. agent/edit/ask mode): agent
  • Selected model (e.g. GPT 4.1, Claude 3.7 Sonnet): Claude Opus 4.8
  • Logs: -

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Start an agent chat in the side panel view and let it run through some task
  2. Start a second conversation in a new window via the + dropdown in the side panel top toolbar ("New Chat Window")
  3. Start a new agent query here
  4. Try typing a secondary prompt, and attempt using the backspace/delete key to delete a character
  5. Observe that you cannot backspace to delete anything in this text input
  6. To work around, select the text using your cursor, then press backspace/delete
  7. Observe the selected text is deleted from the input
