Microsoft Authentication is not persisted. Getting asked for MS authentication again and again

  • OS Version: Windows 11 25H2

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch with code --disable-extensions
  2. Create an http type Remote ADO MCP Server: https://github.com/microsoft/azure-devops-mcp#-remote-mcp-server-recommended into mcp.json (mcp.json in User scope or workspace does not matter)
  3. Start this MCP server
  4. Sign in succesfully with your Microsoft Account
  5. The Microsoft account won't be persisted. Microsoft won't be shown in bottom left "Accounts" tab.
  6. At every task that requires a Microsoft Authentication, you will be prompted again and again....
