Description

  • VSCode Version: 1.77.3
  • Local OS Version: Ubuntu 22.4
  • Remote OS Version: Debian bullseye
  • Remote Extension/Connection Type: Containers (docker compose)
  • Logs:
    The remote containers are always run with this command, so my name property in the compose file is ignored.
[966 ms] Start: Run: docker compose --project-name <project dir>

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. specify name root property in compose file as per https://github.com/compose-spec/compose-spec/blob/master/spec.md#name-top-level-element
  2. launch vscode in remote compose environment
