Kaspersky Internet Security: 21.2.16 with Web Anti-virus enabled.

Without adding any exclusions to the web antivirus, one gets errors like "could not fetch the remote environment".

What I found was that if you go to Kaspersky -> Settings -> Web Anti-Virus -> Advanced Settings -> Trusted URLs
and add the IP of the VM you are using like IP/* eg. 172.30.125.213/* with Status: Active, there are no more errors about the remote environment.

Of course if the ip changes you are back to square one.

Research direction

The payload names no source files, tests, or entry points. Start by reproducing Remote WSL's remote-environment fetch with Kaspersky Web Anti-Virus enabled, comparing behavior with and without the reported trusted-URL exclusion. Done should establish whether the integration can avoid the failure or clearly document the required workaround.
