Description

Hi,

just a quick question, is it possible to install vs code server on remote machine just once for all users? Alternatively can I somehow change the destination of installation so its not located inside users home folder? Sadly we have no space in /home folder at all.

Thank you,
John

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named in the issue. Begin by reviewing how VS Code Server is installed for remote SSH users and determine whether a shared installation or an alternate destination is supported; done means documenting or implementing a confirmed approach that avoids filling /home.
