Description
I use a dual‑monitor setup, and with AI chat panels open, I’d really like to stretch VS Code across both screens.
However, VS Code becomes unusable when I do this. The editor repeatedly freezes whenever I shift focus from the code window on the left monitor to the GitHub Chat input field on the right monitor.
The freeze happens specifically when refocusing between monitors, and it occurs every time.
It would be great if this could be addressed, as screen space in modern coding environments is getting increasingly tight with multiple AI chat panels open so this would be a really great experience in vscode if it works.
Thanks again for a great product.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the freeze with VS Code stretched across dual monitors and GitHub Chat open, then shift focus between the code window and the chat input. Record the environment and confirm that repeated focus changes no longer make the editor unusable.
