Description

  • Extension version: 0.119.2025091504
  • VSCode Version: 1.104.0
  • OS: Windows 11
  • Repository Clone Configuration (single repository/fork of an upstream repository):
  • GitHub Product (GitHub.com/GitHub Enterprise version x.x.x):

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Have a repository in GHE containing a submodule in GH
  2. Click in the extensions and try to load the open PRs
  3. Login will ask to access PRs but instead of asking for the GHE permissions, it asks for the GH permissions
  4. PRs from GHE does not load

Research direction

Start by reproducing the VS Code extension behavior with a GitHub Enterprise repository containing a GitHub submodule, then trace the open-PR loading and login permission flow. Done means PRs load from the GHE environment and the login flow requests GHE permissions rather than GitHub.com permissions.
