Description

It would be nice if I could see whether a commit in the commit history of a pull request is verified (signed) or not like on the official GitHub webpage.

First steps

  1. Read the whole issue, then the project's contributing guide.
  2. Comment on the issue to say you are picking it up — it saves two people doing the same work.
  3. Fork the repository and make your change on a branch.
  4. Open a pull request that references the issue number.

Research direction

Start at the pull request viewer's commit-history entry point and trace how GitHub commit metadata is loaded for each commit. Add the verified or signed status to the displayed commit information, then verify that both verified and unverified commits are represented correctly in the viewer.
