Description
With Azure Data Studio retiring next year and Microsoft pushing developers toward VSCode, it would be great to have SQL Server database supported. Connecting to Azure SQL databases via connection strings is a hassle. It would be much better if the extension could auto-discover SQL servers and databases, making it easier to connect and manage them directly from VSCode.
It would also be nice to port all existing functions of the azure data studio over to VSCode via an extension to ease the migration process.
