Description

Multicore building is one of the basic features of Make. For every single project I always copy paste the same...

"makefile.configurations": [
    {
        "makeArgs": [
            "-j",
            "12"
        ],
        "name": "Standard Multicore"
    }
]

...configuration to get the basic multicore building.
Also would be nice if it just defaulted to CPU-Thread count minus one.

Research direction

No file or test is named. Start by tracing how the GUI exposes makefile.configurations and how the makeArgs setting reaches Make; confirm how CPU thread counts are obtained. Done means the GUI exposes -j/--jobs and can default it to CPU-thread count minus one.
