Description

I have VSCode open with 2 editor windows and 2 preview windows perfect, just what I wanted. However, it seems impossible to reproduce this. Did I do it by accident?

Image

Every time I try to replicate the 2 preview 2 editor workspace I can only open one preview window and if I try to open another it just jumps from the one already open to the one I clicked on, even when grouped or locked. Now I can only have one preview window open at a time.

I don't know if one preview window is all we are supposed to get, but it would be great if we could have one per editor window it makes life so much easier when comparing code.

If we can have more than one preview window can you tell me how to enforce it as I can see no way oof creating a second or third as the preview window opens with the same port number and there is no way to change it.

Thank you for this viewer it does make life easier and I hope it can get even better.

Research direction

No files or tests are identified. Reproduce the reported setup with two VSCode editor windows and preview windows, then investigate why opening a second preview reuses the existing port and window; done means either multiple previews work independently or the supported limitation and setup are documented.
